plugin install, plugin remove
kcap plugin install [<target>] [--project] [--if-installed] [options]kcap plugin remove [<target>] [--project]Target flags, one per call: none (Claude Code plugin), --codex, --cursor, --copilot, --gemini, --kiro, --pi, --opencode, --antigravity, --muse, --grok, --mistral-vibe, or --skills for the packaged skills alone under ~/.agents/skills/. What each writes is listed per agent in Your coding agents
| Option | Behaviour |
|---|---|
--project | Claude and Codex only: write hooks under the current directory (.claude/settings.local.json, .codex/hooks.json) instead of your home. Run at the repository root. Skills stay user-wide. Not refreshed by updates |
--if-installed | Refresh only a previously installed target; fresh systems are left alone. Used by kcap refresh |
--skip-<agent>-mcp, --skip-<agent>-skills, --skip-<agent>-instructions, --skip-codex-network-access | Skip one component for that target |
Any agent target, other than --skills, also adds the kcap git hook; --if-installed refreshes but does not add it. plugin remove --kiro restores the previous default Kiro agent and removes the Crew hook and skills; plugin remove --codex also removes shared skills and unregisters the user-scope MCP servers; kcap uninstall removes everything at once
